Here is what you'll need to get started
(The ingredients marked with the * are things we carry in our shop)
1-½ cups of all-purpose flour
1-teaspoon baking powder
½ teasp
oon baking soda
¼ teaspoon sea salt*
½ teaspoon ground ginger*
1-teaspoon ground cinnamon*
1 egg1
¼ cups milk
¼ cup molasses
3 teaspoons of vegetable oil
Sugar (optional)
Directions
In a small bowl stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, ginger, and cinnamon. Set-aside the mixture.
In a larger mixing bowl, stir together the milk, egg, molasses, and then vegetable oil. Afterwards, add the flour mixture and mix very well. Pour a quarter cup of batter for each pancake on a preheated grill. Cook on the first side until the batter is full of bubbles on the surface, and then proceed to flip over. When the second side is lightly browned you know you’re done. Sprinkle a little bit of sugar on each pancake.
